Our pizzas, baked in a traditional wood-fired oven, are the result of meticulous, passionate craftsmanship. We use special doughs, such as charcoal and whole wheat, which are left to ferment and rise naturally for 48 hours. This slow process, respectful of nature's rhythms, guarantees a light, fragrant pizza with an authentic flavour that will win you over from the very first bite.

During our game evenings, Il Barone di Ascona offers dishes that celebrate local meats and Ticino's culinary traditions. Red deer, fallow deer and wild boar from select Ticino regions are carefully prepared, accompanied by seasonal ingredients such as chestnuts, mushrooms, rustic polenta, and homemade sauces. Each course reflects a deep connection with nature and recipes passed down through the ages, served in a warm and welcoming atmosphere in the Residenza Sasso Boretto.

Our Standing Dinner evenings are designed for those who enjoy sharing special moments in an informal yet refined atmosphere. We offer a fine dining experience that celebrates local ingredients, including select meats and typical products from the Vallemaggia and neighbouring valleys. Artisan-style cured meats, local cheeses, seasonal vegetables, and freshly prepared specialities alternate in a seasonal menu rich in finger foods, hot and cold tasting menus, and homemade desserts. All accompanied by regional wines and friendly attentive service, creating a convivial and authentic experience in the Residenza Sasso Boretto in the heart of Ascona.
